☄ New Monday New Blog ☄
Since we already got the tutorial for How to Straighten a Synthetic Wig ✰, now it's time to get to the waves. Here you are going to learn how to curl or make smooth waves in your synthetic wig by applying heat or without it (which we recommend). Also, I'm adding a cool tip at the end on how to revive your wig a little bit!
We all start somewhere right? So this tutorial is going to be helpful if you are starting the styling adventures of synthetic wigs! You can always find good and professional stylists out there, many professional cosplayers do this job really well. But in this case, I'm writing for all the adventurers that are willing to learn by themselves.
So the main thing is with a curling iron, wand, or flat iron, curling synthetic hair is different from curling heat-resistant hair because synthetic fibers must always be kept moist, and the temperature setting on the tool must be low and cooled off.

Your synthetic wig may be styled in a few different ways. Regular synthetic hair may be styled in the most secure manner possible by rolling it using velcro rollers, flexible hair rods, or plastic curlers. Depending on the size of the rollers, the curls will be more compact, like tight curls.
Tools
✦ Rolls (smaller = tighter curls - bigger = wide curls) https://amzn.to/3sYbc47
✦ Water
✦ Roller Clips https://amzn.to/3sYbc47
✦ Clothes Steamer https://amzn.to/3sZHmfD
① Damp the wig with water until is fully wet, gently comb it.
② Roll every thread of hair with the rolls and secure them with roller clips.
③ Use the fabric steamer to steam each curl.
④ Let it completely dry and remove the rollers and clips. It's done!
For tighter curls, you can use perm rods and use the same method above. Make sure you steam all those tiny perm rolls!

This method is almost the same as the first one, the only obvious difference is that you are going to use water instead of a steamer.

① Repeat step 1 and 2 from the previous method.
② Heat the water in the pot (almost boiling).
③ Put the wig on the wig stand (I usually do this outside or inside the sink).
④ Pour the water on every roll and let it dry.
There are more methods for this, like using a hot airbrush and a curling iron. I usually avoid this because as we know many synthetic wigs are not good for any overheating situation. There are many synthetic wigs that can handle this (like high-temperature resistance). If you do decide to try this, I would recommend that you use them in the lowest heating and make sure that the fibers are wet.
Here is the cool tip I promised:

If the ends of your synthetic wig are frizzy and damaged. Use water to fully wet the wig. Then divided it into 2/3-inch parts. Combed them while using a clothing steamer to smooth down the torn ends.
And that's it! ♡
These are the two safest methods I use when I need to apply a little bit o volume to the hair. You probably have to do even though our wigs are pre-styled they always need a little love before they are used, they had a long trip you know!
