㋡ How to Restore/Revive Your Synthetic Wig ㋡

♠ Revive Your Zombie Wig ♠

Happy Halloween!! I was thinking about what to write today and why not REVIVE your wig? Seems like a matching topic, right?

A synthetic wig may be restored in a reasonably quick and simple way. Check out these two methods and decide which one will work better for you.

Method 1: Fabric Softener

Tools

✦ Fabric Softener https://amzn.to/3WqG7Ul
✦ Water
✦ Towel https://amzn.to/3U6hUB5

➊ In a spray bottle, combine water and fabric softener in an equal ratio. Fill a spray bottle with one part fabric softener and one part cold water. After that, put the top on firmly and shake the container briefly to mix the liquids.

Use a lot of fabric softener spray on your wig. The fabric softener spray aids in moisturizing synthetic fabrics and gives them a glossy, smooth appearance. Spray the wig's top layer until the hair is completely saturated and dripping. After that, lift the top layer of hair and mist the remaining strands. Advice: Do it over the sink.

➌ Any extra spray should be removed using a cloth. The fibers in your synthetic wig might be damaged if you touch it with a cloth. Instead, use a towel to quickly absorb any water droplets from the hair. If the wig is still wet, don't panic; it will dry overnight.

Let the wig dry overnight on a clothing stand. After setting the wig on the coat stand, shape the hairs as you like. Before wearing the wig, allow it to dry for 6 to 10 hours or until it is totally dry.

➎ Make sure to give your synthetic wig a nice brush. This makes the hair seem smooth and helps in removing any knots. Starting at the hair's roots, work your way down to the ends. Do not pull on the hair too firmly as this may cause it to fall out of the wig. Instead, gently untangle any knots with a fine comb.

Advice: When the hair is damp, avoiding combing it can prevent the strands from coming out of the wig's base.

Method 2: Warm Water

Tools

✦ Collapsible Plastic Bucket https://amzn.to/3T8kKEa
✦ Dish Soap https://amzn.to/3NDfNlD
✦ Water
✦ Brush https://amzn.to/3UoSIW3

Make sure your sink is clean. Add warm water and one tablespoon of dish soap to the sink. To create tiny bubbles, gently combine the water and dish soap in your fingers. Use a bucket in place of a sink if you don't have one. Hot water shouldn't be used since it could harm the wig. Use warm water instead, you should be able to submerge your hand without discomfort.

Soak the wig completely in water and dish soap. To ensure that the strands absorb the water, make sure to press firmly on each of them.

➌ To remove any dirt or makeup from the wig, use your fingertips. Check the wig for grease stains and other marks. If you see any dirt, gently push it out of the hair with your fingertips. To smooth the hair, try to move your fingers downward. Avoid rubbing your hair since doing so might cause frizz.

➍ Fill the sink with cold water after draining the warm water and dish soap. Rinse the wig well with cold water to remove any remaining dish soap. After that, carefully remove the wig from the sink. Empty the sink and give the wig another soak in fresh water if it still appears to be soapy.

➎ Remove any extra water by gently pressing it, then let it dry on a towel. Squeeze the wig's hair starting at the top and working your way down to the ends. The wig should be laid out on a towel to dry once the majority of the water has been squeezed out. Wigs typically need between 6 and 12 hours to dry. Before you put the wig on or brush it, make sure it is absolutely dry.

Use a round brush to comb the hair. The wig may be held in one hand or placed on a wig stand. After that, use a round brush to gently brush the hair downward. This makes the hair feel silky and aids in untangling knots. Use a standard brush if you don't have a circular one.

And that's it! ♡
